Younger sister to The Junk, The Phinisi returned to Phuket in 2018 after an absence of nearly ten years. In the meantime she was taking care of guests in comfort and style around Komodo, Andaman Islands and the Maldives under the names of S//Y Siren and Maldives Siren. The Phinisi was custom built for diving in 2007 in Indonesia. At that time she was named "Sampai Jumpa Lagi" which translates as "see you again" in the Indonesian language. She was a familiar sight around Phuket, running cruises around Mergui Archipelago in Myanmar and our own Similan Islands until 2009 when she expanded her territory to reach such diverse diving locations as The Andaman Islands and even as far as Komodo.
From 2011 to 2014 she was hosting guests diving around the Maldives and at that time, appropriately given the name Maldives Siren.
After a short time as a day cruise boat, offering snorkel trips and sunset cruises, she returned to liveaboard life in 2018 as Phinisi Phuket, to work under her older sister, The Junk.
There are 7 private cabins with individual air-con and private bathrooms. Two are fixed twin-berth, 3 can be arranged as twins or doubles, and there are a further 2 quad cabins.
The Phinisi's broad beam makes her communal areas spacious and sociable. With a library of movies, books and games, and a 42" flat screen tv in the saloon, you'll never be stuck for something to do between dives and in the evenings.
