Burma Banks, Myanmar diving
Burma and the Mergui Archipelago is situated north of Thailands Similan Islands.
This archipelago stretches over 10,000 square miles and contains over 800 islands the majority virtually
untouched. The reeftype is limestone and granite cliffs, coral gardens, walls, pinnacles, canyons and tunnels.
There is abundant underwater life both when it comes to fish and corals. If you go here you have the chance to
see everything including Silvertip sharks, bull sharks, gray reef sharks, big
nurses harks, mobula rays and also the great but gentle whale shark. The reefs are very prestine with beautiful
soft corals and sea fans.
The visibility could be up to 50 meters. The currents can be quite strong so
it's for the more experienced diver.
We arrange liveaboards to Burma Banks onboard M/V Faah Yai among other boats.
