Phi Phi Islands

Depth: around 10 - 30 meters Turtle
© 2003 Steve Rubin
Visibility: around 25 meters
Sea Life: Black tip reef sharks, Leopard Sharks, turtles, plentiful soft corals, sea fans and anemones.
Special: Many overhangs, swim-throughs and caves. Beautiful surroundings!

We arrange both day trips and overnight trips to Phi Phi Islands. The Phi Phi Islands and their two small outcrops, Bida Nai and Bida Nok, are among the most renowned dive destinations around Phuket and famous for their abundance of leopard sharks and diversity of marine life, including turtles, sea snakes, clown fish and file fish as well as plentiful hard and soft corals. Lot of different kinds of fish

There are many overhangs, and swim-throughs to explore and even some caves that penetrate, in some cases, as far as 100 meters into the rocks.

Besides the world class diving there are also many superb areas for snorkelling with shallow coral gardens on the fringing reefs which are alive with colourful fish. Phi Phi Ley Bay Pee Pee Ley

Koh Phi Phi has become known the world over as one of the most stunning settings in Southeast Asia and the location was chosen for the movie "The Beach".

The currents here are generally mild, maximum depths are around 30 meters and the visibility is often in excess of 25 meters so it is suitable for divers of all capabilities.

Every Saturday to Sunday and Monday to Tuesday.

Two full days of diving - 6 dives in total. You will make 4 dives around Phi Phi's world famous sites (including a night dive) and still have time to include one of Phuket's favourite dives, often chosen for daytrips - Shark Point on a Monday and King Cruiser Wreck on a Sunday. This trip is the "best of the best".

With just three air conditioned, en-suite cabins, this trip always feels like a luxury private charter! Trip includes all meals, local beers & transfers. Not to be missed!!

Book ahead for your 2015-2016 Similans Trip

The Similans National Park was very busy from December 2014 right through to May 2015, and the next season, starting in November, is starting to look like it's getting full now too. Many of the best boats are already getting booked up! If possible, we advise you to book ahead: email us with your incoming and outgoing flight details and we can let you know what boats are available. If you have plenty of time in Phuket, you'll still be able to scoop up excellent Last Minute Offers for the few remaining spaces: come in and see us when you arrive and we'll find the best deal for you. We set records last season, with the highest number of whaleshark sightings in memory: we had whaleshark AND manta sightings on 3 out of every 5 trips between January and March this year! Our divers expect this trend to continue into the next season, starting in October 2015, and we're already receiving much larger numbers of advance bookings than usual, so it's a good idea to get your places reserved early. Once again, M/V Pawara is offering FREE Nitrox on all of her trips. If you're not already certified for Nitrox you can get the PADI specialty on board, or come early and take either the PADI or SSI Nitrox certification at Oceanic. (The SSI certification will give you Nitrox training up to 40% O2, while the PADI cert. gives you Nitrox 32%.) Check out our Phuket Liveaboard Boats page for a selection of the boats available. We offer the full range from budget to 5-star luxury but they all share one thing in common... a proven track-record of excellence in customer service and safety. Please email us for more information

Oceanic Branches out after Thirteen Years as a PADI 5* IDC Center

SSI Logo

After thirteen years as a PADI Five Star IDC Centre, we want to offer our divers more choice. Within the PADI accreditation system, five star status is the highest accolade for dive centres, and we're proud to have met the critera every year since 1999. Now we want to give our divers more choice and so we have decided to become a Multiple-Agency Diver Training Centre offering SSI as well as PADI. Our excellent Five Star facilities are still the same, and so are our excellent Five Star instructors, and Five Star rental equipment, but now you have the choice of which Diver Certification you prefer to hold. With SSI growing year on year, and recognised worldwide in all the places PADI have reached, and more, we're proud to become their newest member, and offer our members more choice.

Hin Daeng, Hin Muang & Koh Ha... superstar dive sites!

Sometimes it seems all the attention in the diving community of Phuket is on the world-famous Similans, so these other treasures of the Andaman are often overlooked. Just a bit too far for a daytrip, Hin Daeng (Red Rock) and Hin Muang (Purple Rock) are described in more detail at this link and we visit them on shorter 2, 3 or 4 night liveaboard trips which will also visit the enchanting islands Koh Ha and Phi Phi and the ever-popular Shark Point. On previous trips the divers were treated to whalesharks, mantas, mobulas, seahorses, ornate ghostpipefish and many more fabulous surprises.

Day Trips for diving and snorkling around Phuket every day.

The diving right off Kata beach has been astounding our divers recently: we're regularly seeing large groups of stingrays, we also have a couple of resident ornate ghostpipefish and Indian Ocean walkmen. On every dive we swim with schools of barracuda, snapper, surgeon fish, parrot fish and meet up with our friendly cuttlefish and anemone fish. It's also an excellent choice for snorkelers and swimmers with visibility regularly better than 15m. If you prefer to be out on a boat for the day, the visibility is always superb at our popular diving and snorkelling sites at Racha Yai. Snorkellers and divers of all abilities will find what they're looking for diving at Phi Phi too. For divers with a little more experience, our daily trips out to King Cruiser Wreck, will astonish you with the number and varieties of schooling fish around the wreck.

Don't take any chances: take advantage of our reputation as "the friendliest dive center in town"! Drop in for a chat about diving conditions or email us for the latest weather forecast and genuine advice about the best trips and the best days for you to choose. Our email address:
