PADI Divemaster, Phuket
The Divemaster course is the first professional level in the PADI training. As
a divemaster you'll have a high level of personal diving skill, instructor
level knowledge of diving theory and you'll be a fully competent and
professional dive guide.
As a Divemaster you'll able to assume a role of responsibility for the welfare
of other certified divers and can assist an instructor in water training
activities. The Divemaster course will also prepare you for the
Instructor Development Course (IDC).
After the course you'll also get some PADI benefits such as the Undersea
Journal four times a year, which includes the latest information from PADI as
well as keeping you updated on all the benefits of being a PADI professional.
To take part in the course you have to be 18 years old, completed the Emergency
First Response and Rescue Diver course and have a minimum of 20 logged dives.
To be certified you need 60 dives.
The course can take from 4-8 weeks, and consists of 12 theory topics,
watermanship evaluations and learning how to be a dive guide.
After certified you'll be able to work anywhere in the world as a PADI
Divemaster.
